  8. Now type smb:// followed by your PC’s IP address.
  9. Click on Connect, thereafter you’ll be prompted to authenticate. Also, if you haven’t specified the shared folder, you’ll be asked to select one.
  10. Once all this is done, you need to locate files that are to be transferred and transfer them to your Mac.

  • Method 2: Transfer Files via Cloud

Cloud based file transfer is the second method to transfer data from Mac to Windows, on our list. For this, you’ll need an internet connect on both the computers and a common cloud based storage location, like One Drive, DropBox or Right Backup.
